Attorney William Weise: Grand Rapids
Originally from Saginaw, William “Bill” Weise relocated to the Grand Rapids area several years ago and has never looked back. He is proud to call West Michigan home and his place of business.
Bill graduated from Alma College, a prestigious liberal arts college in mid-Michigan, with a history degree in 1989. He then obtained his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in January 1995. He has been representing people charged with crimes ever since.
Bill began his career in Lansing and quickly gained a reputation as an adroit and conscientious trial attorney. Local leaders even tapped him to serve in various roles outside his day-to-day law practice. He served on the City of Grand Ledge Water Appeal Board by mayoral appointment and the Eaton County Boundary Commission by judicial appointment. His passion for the law also led him to serve as an adjunct professor of Criminal Law at Marygrove College in Detroit.
Since moving to West Michigan, Bill has become a regular in courts throughout the Grand Rapids area. He’s handled everything from traffic tickets to murder charges. His practice has primarily focused on drunk driving (DUI) and sex crimes (criminal sexual conduct) defense, where he has achieved outstanding results for his clients. His outside-the-box thinking and innovative problem-solving—honed over his 25 years of practice—have often led to case resolutions that other attorneys can only dream of.
Bill is regarded as an intelligent and tenacious litigator in courtrooms throughout the Grand Rapids area. He is respected by judges and feared by prosecutors.
