Attorney Scott Grabel
More than 30 years ago, Scott Grabel moved to Michigan and never wanted to leave.
Scott is originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey. He graduated from Stockton University and then moved to Lansing, Michigan, to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He finished in the top ten percent of his class and graduated with honors in 1994. After law school, he decided to stay in Michigan. He worked at the Michigan Court of Appeals as a prehearing attorney, a prestigious position offered to top recent graduates.
Scott left the Court of Appeals to join a national law firm, where he developed his passion for criminal defense. He was soon promoted to Regional Director of Attorneys and supervised several attorneys across four states.
In 1999, Scott left the national firm to start his Michigan-based firm—Grabel & Associates. He aimed to create a team of attorneys dedicated solely to criminal defense. Over the past 25 years, he has done exactly that, building Grabel & Associates into Michigan’s premier criminal defense firm.
Scott and his attorneys have represented clients in courts throughout the Grand Rapids area since Grabel & Associates’ inception. We’ve been so successful in Grand Rapids that we have a dedicated office conveniently located on the north side of town. We proudly serve West Michigan and are part of its legal community.
Scott’s philosophy regarding criminal defense is simple: treat clients like family.
