Attorney Joseph Brugnoli
For Joseph “Joe” Brugnoli, the courtroom is far from the most daunting battlefield he’s ever been on.
Right out of high school, Joe joined the United States Army. He graduated from the prestigious Army Ranger School and was deployed to Iraq for two years. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for his service, a decoration given to soldiers whose units saw active combat.
After being honorably discharged from the military, Joe attended Michigan State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He then worked as a police officer for the City of Ferndale for nearly 10 years, where he investigated a variety of criminal cases. He also worked as a sniper for the Southeast Oakland County SWAT Team.
Joe’s passion for the pursuit of justice eventually led him to enroll in Thomas M. Cooley Law School. After graduating and being admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2013, Joe worked in private practice for several years before joining Grabel & Associates in 2017.
Joe has been based in the Grand Rapids area since becoming an attorney. He’s a regular in courts throughout West Michigan, where he’s known for his diligence and integrity. With his law enforcement background, he has a keen eye for spotting flaws in police investigations. He uses these unique insights to obtain the best possible results for his clients.
Joe lives in Sparta, Michigan, with his wife and children.
